Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises® Scroll to bottom and see class offerings.
TRE® is a self-help method for releasing deep tension held in the muscles and tissue due to trauma and/or daily tension and stress. Developed by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, this set of seven simple exercises was developed to elicit the human organism’s natural ability for recovering from trauma and preventing the build up of stress—the tremor mechanism. Anyone can learn TRE®, the exercises are simple and can be modified to suit all fitness levels and body types. In 3 classes students will learn the TRE® protocol and how to regulate their experiences with the tremor reflex for optimal benefits. TRE® is unlike anything you’ve probably experienced before. Results include: better sleep, more resiliency, improved mood and reduction in stress/anxiety. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a pen, journal and water bottle. Class size is limited, so register early. Class not appropriate for pregnant women. For further info on TRE® go to traumaprevention.com or TREForAll.org
What people are saying about TRE®:
“I found TRE® to be deceptively simple to learn while yielding some really powerful results. I feel much more “in my body,” less physically tense or agitated after doing TRE. Shaking makes me laugh, leaves me calm, and gives me a good night’s sleep. I can’t recommend it more highly.” Nancy Henry
“I have been using TRE as a cornerstone self-care technique for 18 months. It is so easy to do and, for me, so profound in releasing long-standing physical pain issues, daily muscle tension, and emotional distress. I feel very fortunate to have it available to me as a tool.” S.D. Biofeedback and mental health therapist for 30 years, now retired.
“I love having TRE® in my “body toolbox.” It is so easy, and helps keep my back and hips much more comfortable.” Holly B NE Portland
